Retrowave brings synths, keys and drums sampled from real 1980s hardware into one deep KONTAKT collection built for writing complete tracks.
The character starts with the hardware itself. Retrowave was built from recordings of more than a dozen analog, digital and hybrid synthesizers and drum machines from the 1980s, capturing the colors that shaped the original era instead of trying to recreate every instrument through software modelling.
The library gives you 105 playable instruments across basses, leads, pads, plucks, keys and four complete drum kits. That breadth means an idea can grow from a bassline or pad into a full arrangement without constantly searching through unrelated libraries for the next sound.
The controls stay focused on music-making. Depending on the instrument category, patches provide envelopes, EQ, LFO modulation, chorus, delay and reverb controls, while plucks add an arpeggiator and the drum kits include dedicated mixing and built-in groove controls.
